Cartu Bank one of the leading banks in Georgia launched 3-D Secure authentication programme for its cardholders. Modirum is providing the service for Cartu Bank from its secure data centres. The service launched in November 2011 provides Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode authentication using dynamic one-time-use passwords (OTP) that are sent to cardholders mobile phones via SMS for every transaction. Cartu Bank cardholders use these OTP to authenticate and approve their on-line shopping transactions.
